Experience a total Sri Lankan culinary journey
Authentic Sri Lankan Cuisine
Come and experience the delightful, and authentic style of Sri Lankan cooking and eating. While the cooking is being done in clay pots, visitors are encouraged to take a walk in the garden and absorb the surroundings. We are located in the picturesque countryside of Bass Woolamai on the Tourist route to Wonthaggi.
Fruits and vegetables are grown organically on the premises.
Visitors are invited to pick their own vegetables (when in season).
Most vegetables are cooked in clay pots to retain their natural goodness.
We offer a choice of chicken and fish dishes to compliment the freshly cooked vegetables and rice. We can cater to suit most palettes, not all of the curries are hot or spicy. We are happy to discuss your taste when you make a booking.
As we pay careful attention to the needs of all our guests we take almost four hours to prepare and cook each of the meals. Time is of absolute importance to us in the lead up and we highly recommend that you make your bookings at least a couple of days in advance.
For all Sri Lankan Specials we require a minimum of 3 days notice as we need to prepare the basic ingredients.
Claypot Curryhouse practices and promotes sustainability to the highest level. To minimise wastage, we do not mass produce any of our consumable foods. For this reason, we request that you book in advance to help us cater to your culinary needs.
